Come- in and meet Debbie Freeman!

She is amazing!!

I don't enjoy the financial details of running a business...

especially a small diversified business with bartering and other 'non-traditional' components.  This year I found the Tax Workroom!  Debbie is so relaxed and friendly...and excited to work with small diversified farms.....Awesome!!!  She also offers bookkeeping services and consults. I highly recommend her!

Are you a Teacher, Farmer or Artist?

Looking for an affordable living situation this summer?

We are looking for an Intern!

LOOKING FOR A SUMMER INTERN !

We are looking for someone who would like to be a part of our small homestead farm.  You would learn basic animal husbandry as well as growing and processing food in our vegetable & herb gardens.  This is an exciting year as we are redesigning some elements to expand programs on the farm to increase educational opportunities.

Interns would also have the opportunity to learn grassroots organizing skills, have a hand in teaching, working on interactive trails, or implementing some other skill set they bring to the table if the wanted further opportunities to become involved in our educational programs.

Room & Board: We can offer camping accommodations at this time, with an outdoor kitchen and privy to use.  We can  provide one meal a day and a weekly food share of what is available in the garden.

If interested, contact Common Vision CSA/Art 603-558-4142

Carpentry Skills Needed!

Looking to barter with someone who can help us with some building projects....

1) Outdoor Privy/ Composting Toilet-  2 Doors- I handicap accessible

2) 10 x 10 Trellis with built-in counter space on two sides-

3) Front Porch/ Small Enclosed Stage Area

Family Cow Coop

Raw, grass fed, organically raised milk without the work of keeping the cow!

The cost of purchasing and feeding a cow is prohibitive for one family but very affordable for a few families together!

We are proposing a “Cow Coop” where several families join together to buy a cow and cover the cost of keeping her.  Each family will get an equal share of the milk which could be made into butter or cheese as desired.  Our family will house the cow and do all milking and related chores including butter or cheese making.

Sound interesting?

Please contact Laura & Matyas Mezei at Circle of Pines Forest Farm in Unity

603-558-5745.  We’ll set up a meeting of all interested families to iron out the details.

Homestead for lease in Unity NH (southwest):  7 acres, of which 2 are cleared.  Property includes a small, 2-bedroom hand-built house with wood heat, composting toilet, limited gravity-feed well water and electricity.  There are two sheds (8x10 and 12x12), two large shared gardens, and several apple trees.  The property needs some work: finishing interior in parts of the house and former pasture restoration/re-creation.  Space is available for small-scale livestock and vegetable production.  No pesticides ever used.  Erection of a barn and/or greenhouse would be welcome.  Located on a community land trust and available for a year of provisional membership with a long-term lease probable after that.  QCLT* seeks a homesteading-minded family interested in putting down roots and developing a sustainable long-term vision for this property.

(*The Quaker City Land Trust was formed in 1994 by the residents of a cooperative ‘back to the land’ neighborhood from the 1960’s.  Leaseholders share access to common land and to a community woodworking shop.  Sharing resources and skills and trading work are valued parts of what we do here.  The land trust owns 8 leaseholds on 91 contiguous acres, mostly wooded, in southwest New Hampshire.
